My first semester ended!

My first semester finally ended a week ago! I  came back to Osaka after I attended the seminar and hung out in Tokyo.

I feel this semester passed in a blink of an eye, but it is also long when I refer to the first time I arrived on the campus without knowing what was happening, after a day delay of the plane because of the rare heavy snow in Tokyo.

For classes, I challenged and took an honor class and a three-hundred-level English class, but it was turned out to be very rewarding and satisfying, and I gained A in both classes. I couldn't understand much of the classes and discussions though... That is there are still a lot of things to improve^^;

I also figured out a lot of obstacles and what I don't like about myself by living with others all the time. I regret that I was inclined to close myself off from people and events and keep in my room. In fact, that is what I haven't been good at since a young age. I know my troublesome sensitive personality, and I often got nervous and exhausted after trying to adjust to the social life and mingle with others all the time. It's hard to change it entirely, but I want to push myself a little bit harder until I give up and end up being in my comfortable zone throughout my life.

And I came to like the fresh nature, the quiet atmosphere, and nice people in Greencastle. I couldn't imagine a life in such a middle of nowhere in the States because I had never lived even in the countryside, but it helped me to breathe deeply and have a mental space to reflect upon myself.

During this summer, I want to study personality and educational psych and learn programming and read a lot of books. But I also want to go outside and expand my life like doing exercise. And what I'm exited about is I will work on the project with one of my friends at college to help students or self-learners who want to study their interests to use resources fully and promote their meta learning by providing individualized learning kits. We're still on the way to prototype the project, but I'm happy to talk this if you're interested in it further.

Plus, I may try to make money by selling handicrafts and accessories. This year is when I become 20 yrs old, so I don't want to forget to get the pictures of mine in kimono~

For the next semester, I haven't finalized my schedule yet, but I will take computer science, cognitive psych, biology, or math classes and begin theatre or music outside the classes. I will also do research of eye-tracking with one of the psych professors.

I'm happy if you hit me up during summer. I will be in Osaka probably until the end of July!
